When you're abstaining from alcohol as part of your weight loss plan, the festive season can be hard. It doesn't quite feel the same raising a toast on New Year's Eve with a glass of water, however you don't need to have an alcoholic drink to feel like you're celebrating and it doesn't even need to be a calorific soft drink. Here are four recipes for delicious guilt-free mocktails which you can enjoy at occasions all year round.
1. Super Easy Mock Champagne

Ingredients:
Chilled diet ginger ale
White grape juice
Raspberries
Add all three ingredients to a pitcher and stir. Serve in a champagne flute for an elegant drink to raise a toast with.
2. Red Berry Mocktail

Ingredients:
Ideal Weight red berry water flavouring
Sparkling or soda water
1 lime
We know that everyone likes their red berry water flavouring at different strengths, so add your preferred amount to a glass of sparkling or soda water. Squeeze a wedge of lime into the drink for citrusy kick. This mocktail has by far the lowest calories out of the drinks on this list so a good choice if you really want to limit your intake.
3. Tropical Punch
80 kcal per serving
Ingredients:
1200ml diet lemonade or slim line tonic
600ml orange juice
600ml pineapple juice
1 kiwi fruit, sliced
120g pineapple, cubed
1 mango, cubed
Crushed ice
Add all the fruit juices and lemonade into a large pitcher and stir, then add you choice of fruit (you may even fancy some different tropical combinations!). Add plenty of crushed ice for a chilled mocktail. We think this drink is perfect for a summer holiday and celebrations. This recipe serves around 10 people so bear that in mind when you're filling up your glass.
4. Mulled Wine
120 kcal per serving
Ingredients:
1 litre orange juice
1 litre cranberry juice
2 cinnamon sticks
5 cloves
Slices of orange / lemon (optional)
Add all the ingredients into a saucepan and put onto a low heat. Stir until hot and serve with a ladle into heatproof glasses and add your sliced orange / lemon pieces.
